Eric Rankin - Author of The Aquarians

Eric bonding with a dolphinEric Rankin grew up in the yachting industry in Southern California. Drawing from his experience as a licensed boat captain, stunt-boat operator for television and film, SCUBA diver and freelance writer, Eric creates a lush and scenic backdrop for his first novel "The Aquarians." Eric has also traveled the world swimming with dolphins and exploring Mayan ruins. These experiences led him on a path that directed his attention to the end of the Mayan calendar in the year 2012 - a moment in time that seems to be serving as a spiritual wake-up call to all humanity.

For Eric, writing a novel that would not be too “airy-fairy” for mainstream readers or too conventional for a new-age audience proved to be a challenging task. In telling a story about humanity moving into what Mayan shamans refer to as a “next level” of consciousness, his greatest hope was that he would be able to intrigue readers just enough to want to explore this subject on their own.

Along the way from writing the first word to corresponding with fans of the book from all over the world, Eric has become more convinced than ever that something genuine and profound is happening: Old and trusted systems of commerce and finance are crumbling, planet Earth is going through intense climactic changes, the language of traditional religion is being replaced by a dialogue of spirituality, and information is now being shared in ways that could only be imagined as science fiction just a few years ago – all what Eric believes are tell-tale signs that a new age is indeed upon us. Every day, more and more people are waking up to the thought that, if things really are changing, then what comes next?

The answer to that question waits for us all in the new Age of Aquarius.
